Spring is here!
March 18th, 2013As the first signs of spring are beginning to show I am looking forward to another fantastic year in the Aesthetic industry. Signs of new growth in the economy are rather harder to come by, but against all the trends, the market in Aesthetics continues to grow strongly as it has done continuously for the last few years.
The industry has suffered from a poor public image in the past, partly due to a lack of regulation. With publication due soon of a report by Professor Sir Bruce Keogh, plus a European Directive also due later his year we confidently predict tighter regulation of the industry, restricting administration of injectable aesthetic treatments to Doctors, Dentists and Nurses. This is a policy we have always observed here at Cosmetica, and I confidently expect this will represent a great opportunity for suitably qualified individuals to make a profitable change of career at a time when the future of public health care is hard to predict.
